  • Python Crash Course, 2nd Edition

    Python Crash Course, 2nd Edition

Great, great book for starting Python. I think a few things were outdated in the 2nd edition, but overall, very good, great examples, very interactive

  • Extreme Ownership

    Extreme Ownership

Really good advice, the stories are great, the lessons learned are applicable.

  • Leviathan Falls

    Leviathan Falls

This was a great ending to the series. Really enjoyed where this went, and how it wrapped up.

  • Tiamat’s Wrath

    Tiamat’s Wrath

One more after this one… Still a great story.

  • Data Engineering and AI for Beginners

Data Engineering and AI for Beginners

Pretty sure this book is AI slop. Very repetitive, grammar, punctuation, spelling errors. Really wanted to like this book, and the information in it could have been so much better and more helpful.

  • Learning to Walk in the Dark

Learning to Walk in the Dark

Really great reframing of the dark, darkness, and sitting with it, talking to it, and welcoming it.

  • Persepolis Rising

    Persepolis Rising

A new arc, about 30 years later, did not see this one coming. Looking forward to the wrapping up of the next two books. Continues to be great writing. Great characters.

  • Babylon’s Ashes

    Babylon’s Ashes

Continues to be a great series. Glad Marcos just blipped out of existence. Continues to have great characters, RIP Fred F’in Johnson.

  • We Need Your Art

    We Need Your Art

The chapter on failure was excellent! Slow start, but that’s probably because I (thankfully) have no art demons yelling at me that I suck.

  • Food Rules: An Eater's Manual

    Food Rules: An Eater's Manual

Short, sweet, and to the point. Eat real food, mostly plants, not too much. Also don’t eat breakfast cereals that change the color of your milk.
