The Omnivore’s Dilemma: Young Readers Edition

While I didn’t realize this was the “young reader’s edition”, there’s still a bunch of great content and thoughtful questions in this version.

  • Always Hungry?

    Always Hungry?

This was great, I really like this take on listening to your body, eating whole and healthy, and making adjustments based on how you’re feeling. Also wild to think that our health is a national security issue.

  • The Hungry Brain

    The Hungry Brain

Very interesting scientific studies, a lot of it over my head. Essentially: eat real food, satiating, move more, sleep better, set yourself up for success.

  • Star Wars: Battle of Jakku

    Star Wars: Battle of Jakku

Not bad, cool to see another side of the Battle of Jakku, though it’s usually a bummer when the characters are disposable.

  • Lost Stars

    Lost Stars

This was surprisingly good. The story goes from the founding of the empire to just after the Battle of Endor. Really great insight into the mind of soldiers on either side of the war.

  • Forever Strong

    Forever Strong

Solid book, not as insightful as Outlive, but a few actionable steps for me. Would definitely recommend, would be on my list of recommended health books. very straightforward.

  • Discipline Equals Freedom

    Discipline Equals Freedom

Well that escalated quickly! If you need some motivation to get going, this is it. Also has training and nutrition guidelines.

  • The Dichotomy of Leadership

    The Dichotomy of Leadership

The table of contents is a pretty good summary, but the stories are what really stick with you. Pretty good. Will read the first book soon…

  • Nemesis Games

    Nemesis Games

These continue to be really good, and Marco Inaros is a jerk!

  • Scarcity Brain

    Scarcity Brain

Interesting read, a little too pop in some places, could have been shorter, but again, the stories and what people are doing is fascinating.
